Apple Pie
1 tablespoon
fresh lemon juice
1 cup granulated
sugar
¼
cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon
ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons
cold butter, cut into small pieces
Double crust
pastry
Preheat oven to 375-degrees. Place apple slices in a large bowl and toss
to coat with lemon juice. In a small
bowl, sift together sugar, flour and cinnamon.
Add dry ingredients to apples and toss to coat evenly. Transfer to a pastry lined 9-inch pie
plate. For vents, cut apple designs in
top crust. Seal by bringing top crust
over and under bottom crust, pinching to seal.
Flute edge and lightly sprinkle granulated sugar over. Cover edge with foil. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil.
Bake another 20 minutes or till the top is golden and fruit is tender.
Yield: 8 servings.
