Banana Split Cake

 

Holiday/Special Occasions

 

2   cups graham cracker crumbs

1   stick butter, melted

 

2   8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened

1   cup confectioners’ sugar

 

3  bananas, sliced

1  pint of strawberries, hulled and sliced

2  8-ounce can crushed pineapple, well-drained

1  8-ounce carton whipped topping

 

1  small jar maraschino cherries, cut in half

1  cup chopped pecans

˝ cup chocolate syrup

 

Preheat oven to 350-degrees.  Mix together crumbs and melted margarine/butter.  Pat into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.  Bake for 15 minutes.  Cool on a wire rack.  Using an electric mixer, mix together the cream cheese and sugar until light and creamy.  Spread mixture on top of crumb crust.    Layer bananas, strawberries and pineapple on top of cream cheese mixture.  Spread over whipped topping.  Garnish with maraschino cherries and pecans.  Drizzle with chocolate syrup.  Enjoy!

Yield:  6 servings.
