Basic Herb Butter
1 stick unsalted butter
1 tablespoon dried herb leaves
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Let butter stand at room temperature until softened. Work butter with a spoon, rubber spatula, or
fork until smooth. Stir in lemon juice
and then dried herb. Cover and
refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Yield: 1/2 cup.
* Begin by only using 1 herb. Experiment with different herb combinations
and individual taste preferences.
