Bird Roll-up

NUTRITION!

Protein (turkey/chicken) builds and renews body tissues and supplies energy. 

Carbohydrate (tortilla) gives work energy for body activities and heat energy for maintenance of

body temperature. 

 

SUPPLIES!

Turkey of chicken, thin sliced

Whole-wheat flour tortilla, 9 inch

American cheese, thin sliced

Lettuce

Lite mayonnaise

 

MATERIALS!

1   teaspoon measure

1   plastic knife

1   small paper plate

 

RECIPE – 1 SERVING!

1    6-inch whole grain tortilla

1    thin slice deli chicken or turkey

1/2 thin slice American cheese

1/2  lettuce leaf

1/2  teaspoon mayonnaise

 

DIRECTIONS!

1.  Measure mayonnaise and spread on tortilla. 

2.  Place on chicken/turkey, cheese and lettuce. 

3.  Roll tortilla up.

4.  Eat and enjoy!

 

CAROLYN’S COOKING RULES!

Wash your hands with soap and water before cooking.

Wear an apron or smock to protect your clothes.

Listen carefully to directions.

Use good table manners. 

Assist with clean up.
