Broccoli Oriental
1 pound broccoli
1 tablespoon soy
sauce
2 tablespoons
butter/margarine
½ cup water
chestnuts, thinly sliced
Fresh ground pepper
to taste
Break broccoli head into florets. Peel stem and cut into small chunks. Steam or cook broccoli in a small amount of
water until crisp-tender. Drain and
place in a serving bowl. In a small
saucepan melt butter/margarine and stir in soy sauce and pepper. Pour over broccoli and sprinkle with water
chestnuts.
Yield: 4 servings.
