Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls

Kids Cooking

Cinnamon rolls are often reserved for special occasions, but they’re still great anytime of the year.  This recipe takes less preparation time because the yeast dough is purchased frozen. The filling is a cinnamon sugar mixture topped with milk chocolate morsels.  For a different taste, butterscotch or peanut butter morsels can be substituted for chocolate morsels.   Fresh cinnamon should smell of sweet spice. It is the dried inner bark of a tropical evergreen tree.  Ground cinnamon is used in baking and is generally combined with dry ingredients such as sugar or flour.   Cinnamon is also available in sticks, which are rolled pieces of bark.  It should be stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry, dark place.
