Merry Christmas! Fudge is a delicious confection for holiday guests. Traditional fudge is a creamy, semi-soft candy most often made with sugar, butter, cream, corn syrup and various flavorings. Today’s quick recipe uses milk chocolate morsels, canned sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter. One cup chopped walnuts or pecans can also be added. Here are a few tips for successful fudge making. Pick a day when the weather is cool and dry. Don’t double, triple or make other multiples of a fudge recipe at one time. This will affect the cooking and cooling rate and may cause recipe failure. Don’t substitute ingredients because fudge preparation is very exact.
