Smith apples, peeled and sliced (about 5 cups)
3/4 cup granulated
sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons
all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick oats
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons
all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 stick unsalted butter
Preheat oven to
350-degrees. In a small bowl, mix sugar,
cinnamon, and flour. In
a large bowl, toss to coat apples with sugar mixture. Place apples in a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan
coated with a spray of canola oil. For
topping, mix together oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, raisins and pecans in
a bowl. Cut butter into small bits and
sprinkle over apples. Cover with
topping. Bake for 35 minutes or until
fruit is tender and topping golden.
Yield: 6 servings.
