Glazed Carrots

 

Farmer’s Market

 

1   pound baby carrots

2   tablespoons butter

¼  cup packed light brown sugar

     Salt and fresh ground pepper

 

Steam or cook carrots in a small amount of water until crisp-tender.  In a saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar until bubbly.  Add carrots and cook uncovered about 2 minutes or until glazed, stirring frequently.  Season to taste. 

Yield:  4 servings.
