Hilary’s St. Louis Salad – Hilary Ivans

2   cups broccoli florets

2   cups cauliflower florets

1   small red onion, sliced into rings

1   cup shredded Cheddar cheese

6   slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

2   hard cooked eggs, sliced

 

Dressing

1   cup mayonnaise

1   tablespoon granulated sugar

     Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

 

Place broccoli, cauliflower, onion, cheese and bacon in a large chilled salad bowl.  In another bowl, mix dressing ingredients.  Pour dressing over vegetables and toss to coat.  Garnish with egg slices. 

Yield:  6 servings.
