Honey Glazed Green Beans

 

Sarah’s “Lite” Recipes

1     pound green beans, ends snapped

1/4  cup honey

1/4  cup toasted almonds

      Salt and fresh ground pepper

 

Place green beans in a colander and rinse under cold running water.  Snap off ends of beans and leave whole.  Steam or cook in a small amount of water until crisp-tender. Drain.  Place on a warm serving platter.  In a small dish, warm honey in the microwave.  Drizzle over green beans.  Season to taste.  Sprinkle with almonds.  

Yield:  4 servings.
