NUTRITION!
Vitamin B (oats)
fosters a good appetite and maintains a healthy condition of the nerves. It also keeps skin, mouth and eyes
healthy.
Potassium (banana) regulates
blood pressure, normal muscle contractions and promotes regular heartbeat. It also maintains water balance in tissues
and cells.
Iron (raisins) is
needed to transport oxygen to the cells.
SUPPLIES!
Banana
Raisins
Water
MATERIALS!
2 small paper bowls
1 teaspoon measure
1 plastic spoon
1 plastic knife
1 safety scissor
RECIPE – 1
SERVING!
1 1-ounce package instant whole grain
oatmeal
1/2 cup hot water
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 small banana, unpeeled
6 raisins
DIRECTIONS!
1. Cut open oatmeal package and pour into bowl.
2. Pour over hot water (adult) and child stirs 8
times.
3. Peel banana and cut into 5 slices.
4. Sprinkle on 10 raisins.
5. Eat and enjoy!
