Pan-Broiled Sirloin Steak

 

Sarah’s “Lite” Recipes

 

1    pound boneless beef top sirloin steak, cut into 4 ounce serving pieces

 

Marinade

1/4  cup reduced-sodium soy sauce

1     tablespoon dark  brown sugar

2     cloves garlic, minced

1     teaspoon onion powder

       Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

 

Pour marinade ingredients into a sealable plastic bag and add steak.  Seal bag and turn to coat.  Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.  Drain and discard marinade from steak.  Coat skillet with a spray of Canola oil  and preheat on medium-high.  Sear quickly on both sides and reduce heat to medium.  Cook until desired doneness.  Season to taste.
