P B & J Sandwich
Preschoolers develop cognitive, motor and social
skills through creative cooking experiences!
NUTRITION!
Incomplete protein (peanut
butter) with the combination of other incomplete proteins builds and renews
body tissues and supplies energy.
Carbohydrate
(bread) gives work energy for body activities and heat energy for maintenance
of body temperature.
SUPPLIES!
Whole grain bread
Grape jelly
MATERIALS!
1 set measuring spoons
1 plastic knife
1 small paper plate
RECIPE – 1
SERVING!
1 slice whole grain bread
1 tablespoon peanut butter
2 teaspoons jelly
DIRECTIONS!
1. Cut bread in half crosswise.
2. Measure peanut butter and spread on one-half
slice of bread.
3. Measure jelly and spread on other one-half
slice of brad
4. Make a sandwich by bringing halves
together.
5. Eat and enjoy!
