Steak & Mushrooms over Rice – Rita M. Scott

“ Serve over fluffy rice or noodles, with salad and crusty French Bread.”

 

1 ½  pounds round steak, cut into thin strips

1 ½  tablespoons oil

2      large onions, sliced and separated into rings

1      4-ounce can cream of mushrooms soup

½     cup dry sherry

1 ½  teaspoons garlic salt

 

In a large oven-proof skillet hat oil to medium-high.  Brown steak strips and onions.  Add soup, sherry, mushrooms and garlic salt.  Cover skillet and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes.  Yield:  4-6servings.
