Strawberries in a Cloud

 

Holiday/Special Occasions

 

1    quart strawberries

½   cup granulated sugar

1    8-ounce carton whipped topping

½   cup chopped pecans

 

 Place sliced berries (reserve 8 whole) in a bowl and sprinkle sugar over.  Place in refrigerator for about two hours to let natural sugars develop.

To serve:  Place a scoop of whipped topping in bottom of a sherbet, parfait or margarita glass.  Place ½ cup sugared berries on top of whipped topping.  Add another scoop of whipped topping.  Garnish with whole berry and sprinkle of nuts. 

Yield:  6 servings.
