Veggie Sub Sandwich

 

Holiday/Special Occasions

 

1-pound unsliced round loaf bread

     Crisp lettuce leaves 

     Thin tomato slices

     Thin sweet yellow onion slices

     Thin red, yellow and/or green bell peppers slices

     Thin mushrooms slices

     Thin cucumber slices

     Thin avocado slices

     Mayonnaise

     Horseradish mustard

     Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

 

Slice loaf in half crosswise.  Spread one half with mayonnaise and the other with mustard.  Cover each bread half with crisp lettuce.  Layer on vegetables and season to taste.  Place on top half securing with party toothpicks. 

Yield:  8 serving
